In today's fast-paced, on-demand world, online shopping is the new normal. I'm pretty sure the local delivery drivers know my dogs by name at this point, and many people are in that same boat. So why not put that Amazon habit to good use and support Plainfield High School athletics? If you're shopping anyway, it's an easy way to make a positive impact in the community.
Setting it up is simple. Here's how:
1. Open the Amazon Shopping app on your mobile device.
2. Click the hamburger menu in the lower right, then select the "Gifting & Charity" button.
3. Select "AmazonSmile" from the list. NOTE: If AmazonSmile does not appear in your list, try searching "AmazonSmile" in the main Amazon search field, and follow the rest of the steps from there.
4. In the search field, type "Red Pride Booster Club" and click Search.
5. Click the Select button next to the line that says "Plainfield Red Pride Booster Club Incorporated, Plainfield, IN"
6. Confirm that you've selected the correct organization.
7. Click "Next" to turn on AmazonSmile in the app.
8. Click the "Turn on AmazonSmile" button one more time, and you're all set!
If you ever want to check and see how you're doing in your support of the Red Pride Booster Club, you can check the AmazonSmile page in the Gifting & Charity section at any time. According to the app, you'll be prompted to confirm your charity settings a couple of times per year.
Prefer to do your Amazon shopping from a computer? Visit smile.amazon.com to get started, and then be sure to use that same web address each time you want to make a purchase. You can also add a browser extension called Smilematic that automatically directs to AmazonSmile when you sign in to Amazon.
